Because, when the police pull us over, we all say " Its a fair cop guv ", don't we.  Only a cunt would admit anything to a copper, if he knew their was a slim chance of getting nicked.

The lengths the copper went to to nick the bloke just proves hes a wanker that would go to great lengths for such a trivial thing.

They thought their chance of getting nicked was slim.  But it wasn't.  They got his reg, he lied about riding the bike, they investigated and he got banned on the evidence posted on the internet.

I should think being locked up in jail for attempting to pervert the course of justice will  concentrate his mind somewhat and might make others consider the consequences of their actions.

In principle yes, but I dont think it is, its not like hes drowning new born babies in a bucket is it, and the coppers gone out of his way to get it from a minor bit of stupidity to a prison term.

The guy obviously panicked when the copper pulled, told some wild fantasy crap story and instead of giving him a bollocking the coppers been a total tosser about it, he gone about it like the blokes some sort of serial killer.  You may not agree, but your not going to convince me any different.

 I do get the fact he broke the law and they've followed that up, but all that time and effort for a speeding offence?? Yet when I was knocked off,  hit and run, and there were CCTV units all round, Plod wouldn't follow it up as "not in public interest".
