Slider etiquette

Sliders.

Is it uncool to wear brand new unscuffed sliders when, truthfully, they're not exactly likely to get worn out from overuse? Yet.
(ie, your leathers have bugs and flies on the /back/ of them, as the insects speed into /you/...)

Or, what about sticking them on a linisher for 30secs, to get them scuffed in, and then *ahem* say, feigning an injury acquired in the Fast group on a trackday which prevent you from getting your knee down when other people are around...

Or, are new sliders ok providing you're actually /trying/ to get your knee down and might actually succeed?

PS:

Honest answer...

I've just got some new leathers, and I put knackered sliders on so I wouldn't ride like a twat to wear them out and look "cool"

And yes, I did knacker them myself in the fast group on a trackday

Get some new sliders, then get your knee down... ;-)

I wouldn't worry, just wear whatever you want...

Lame excuse.

It only takes 5 miles on your favourite road to scuff them in!

4/10. Must try harder.

Tape em to the sole of your boots. Then ride a couple of hundred yards with your feet down. Sorted.

No but...

In the photo it looks like you are going faster than other rider even if he is passing you. :burnout:
