I am so tempted to p/ex my bike for a Repsol Replica fireblade...it just looks stunning...but i fear that in 18 months it will look old and out of date..or do you think the shape and colour scheme will last.?..For me Honda have got it right in the looks department and with the Repsol theme its amazing...

cheers

If Hayden wins the MotoGP this year, you'll probably make a mint selling it to Matt le Blanc/Brad Pitt Hayden hanger on wannabe.

However, seeing as he's unlikely to do that, I think it'll date. And, it'll be a bitch to get replacement fairings for.

The Repsol colours for me are great but only really a keeper if you are talking the modern CBR-RR model with underseat exhaust.

The slightly older model probably looks OK too.

Why, how long do you keep bikes for?

It'll date like every other sportsbike even more so as race colours are out of date yearly, not a bad bike tho a very easy ride, but ridden back to back with a ZX10 it's somewhat bland.

I have enough bikes thanks

Race paint will date.
The Repsol does look the nuts though..
Why not just go for a standard paint job ,they can look every bit as good !!

Whilst nice, and iconic, they are quite common. Not so much the new 'Blade Repsol, but Repsol replicas in general. There's a guy with a new 'Blade that goes through Hertford most days with an HM Plant rep and it looks beautiful. Worth considering? I've always loved Tamadas 03 bike - the red/white Pramac one. I just need the dosh for the 'Blade and paintjob tho'!

996R or 998R I'll give you ... but an UGLY one - 749R?

Most replicas are gash.

They may look good at the time, but they all go out of fashion: Marlboro-Yamahas? Rothmans-Hondas? Camel-Hondas? Castrol-Hondas? Pepsi-Suzukis?

All nice at the time but would you buy one now?

Stick with the 748R...
