Oh dear. Anyone read RiDE's article?
Makes alarming reading...Or is it just scare-mongering for the sake of a good story?

I haven`t read it but I wouldn`t trust remoulds from what I`ve heard about them

Whats the point???

Wasn't it one of our own media tarts who starred in a recent RiDE article, when his remould tyre shredded at speed?

Aha!

I have yet to read it, but I believe it involves a certain mate of mine, an Exup and, well, shall we say peeling?????

All true. Made a nasty mess of that nice mans hugger too.

Didn't put him off them though.

Probably is scaremongering, the big tyre manufacturers are a
powerful bunch evidently. Anyway as LMR says 'Whats the
point?', remoulds are'nt hugely cheaper than proper tyres are
they? No thankyou very much.

I know of somebody who races quite successfully on remoulds. However I would personally never use a remoulded tyre that hadn't been designed from the outset as remouldable. Too risky.

I can understand people who want to race on them cos lets face it, you don`t expect tyres to last long when racing anyway.........................and they`ll always be an amulance nearby should it shread permaturely

NOT FOR ROAD USE IMHO

are you making this up? Mr. Hutchings has kept rather quiet about this if not!

Maybe for city-commuting only, or possibly track use but when cornering hard with a lot of hard stuff (i.e. trees) on the outside of the bend I wouldn't like to skimp on the only thing thats keeping the bike on the correct line.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
