Piaggio Zip

Looking for a simple, small moped for my daughter, to get to college on.

From first look around the dealers, the Piaggio Zip (4 stroke 50cc) seems a good choice - nice and simple, quite low (that's important, she's even shorter than me!), fairly cheap...

Anyone got / had one? Good choice, or better options around?

I'd seriously think about a Liberty if you're going that way. When my oh so funny mechanic leant me a 50cc vespa it focussed my mind on the virtues of 10 inch wheels versus whatever the Liberty has (15"?).

Stability.

They fall to bits quite easy do those and will be cheaper to buy a new one than get it through its first MOT imo, anything thats plastic will crack and anything metal will rust. Pretty much the same quality as the korean imports you can get, but with a hefty price tag. Vespa ET2 is a better option, it comes in a nice pearl white which women dig.

The Dylan is cheap, stylish and reliable though, the peuguet's are popular but probably not that girly.

Is she an RS50 type of girl?? Aprilia do some nice 50's, the SX125 is a nice supermoto. No idea how it rides though but one of this months mags raved about it.

I love you.

Manc, the Dylan is a 125 and physically quite large.

Considering you can get a Wa-Fung-To-Lee scoot off eBay for £600 or less, I'd be inclined to buy one of those and hope it makes it to the first MOT.

Go for something with big wheels mate and give your young 'un half a chance of staying upright :burnout: them ten inch wheel scoots are seriously unstable and foccin dangerous in my opinion

Olly, don't buy a 50cc. She'll be dangerously slow and cars will try to overtake her in all manner of idiotic ways.

Big yin has a zip(po) he tried "burning " others off ,he said his is pretty "handy" .hes only had one trip to A+E on due to it its accelerants being pretty "hot" .

I'm leaving on the five train
Don't ask me when I'm coming back again
I reckon it's only a matter of time
