rattling front brakes
Hi i have a kawasaki zx6r j1 .I recently had new tryes fitted front and rear and since then i have a knocking from the front caliper .It stops when the front brake is applied .I contacted the fitter of my tyre who took her for a test drive and told me this is called pad rattle?has anyone heard of this ?Also 1 disc gets warm the other side is stone cold ...Any ideas
guess no one knows then ?
maybe your anti rattle plate has gone missing(a thin metal plate that does between the metal side of the pad and the calipers piston), maybe loose caliper although i would think a mechanic would have noticed this.
