Odd that people won't go near certain threads.

Odd how the English never apologize.

Odd how the English seem to be quite able to dish it out, but not take it.

I never mentioned it but the other day on some thread here, someone commenting on terrorism or something similar, said we wouldnt be having all these problems with terrorists if the Yanks would get out of Iraq.

I reminded him that the English were there also

Thread derail for a moment. Theres a nasty rumour floating around that the US knowingly has sent gardening plants here from nurseries in California that are infected with some disease. This disease, if not stopped, has the capability of wiping out our forests in 10-20 years.

Supposedly, the US Dept of Agriculture knew about the infected plants and let them go to export any way.

Nope.
Whether or not someone has been a cnut in the past is absolutely irrelevant to whether or not I wish to express sentiment to them. How they respond to a 'personal' thread won't reflect how I respond to them, as I'm me, not an imitation of them. All it would be achieving by exhibiting a told-you-so attitude in a thread (hoax or not) is lowering yourself to the level that you're criticising in the first place, which seems as hypocritical as the person being criticised has been.

It doesn't matter if I like the person or not, if I agree with them or not, if they don't like me, or if I don't know them from Adam - they'll get a response from me, not an I-told-you-so.
