I'm trying to locate an article, which I reckon was in TWO magazine during 2005 ... It
featured an article about motorcycle cartoon characters including Norton Bikeman, Ogri
amongst others.

If anyone can help locate this article it would be much appreciate.

Can't help you with that TWO article, but wasn't Norton Bikeman featured in the short-lived Road Rocket magazine. I think only 3 or 4 issues were printed.

Ogri is in Bike magazine and has been since before motorbikes were invented

I’m not allowed to have any of these as my avatar, so here they are on my sig instead. However, I now can't add any new ones

Did you ever hear anyone say “That picture had better be banned, because I might look at it and it might be very damaging to me”

Yep I'm pretty sure Norton Bikeman was in Road Rocket ... and Ogri definitely in Bike magazine. Just trying to find out if anyone's got a copy of the TWO article or even better Road Rocket knocking around their garage ... writing a thesis at the mo and looking for some images of motorcycle comic characters.

If I can find my copies (see above) I'll scan the relevant bits for you, but "Norton BikeMan" wasn't really a comic - more a short story (in 2parts IIRC) with 3 or 4 graphics to go with the prose.

If you want more "Biking" comic characters there's a whole list :

Tina Tailpipe (pre dated Ogri)

"Planet Ovlov" (ran in MCN in the 90's)

Ogri (natch)

Fred Gassit (superlatively odd - appeared in SuperBike in the 90s - Australian).

Joe Bar Team (originally french, IIRC Superbike ran the translated versions for a while)

I'm sure there's more...

Hi I was just told that my late brother Dom Evans drew a version of Ogri from Planet Ovlov before his death in 1989...I think it was in bike magazine.. I never saw it and a lot of his cartoons disappeared at his death ( I am his sister)...I would love to see a copy if it is still around... I am trying to get all his Artwork together to exhibit it along with my own... Thanks....xxx
