Because it's an MV and the other isn't.

I know a new wing mirror for a Brutale costs over £170.

Gorgeous looking bike though.

MV from me...I have one, it will make you laugh every time you ride it.... my only gripe is it needs to be geared up, it revs it's tits off at fairly low speeds ... however that noise is very adictive, gathers a crowd where ever you park it.... may be a bit bias here but I love mine

Saw two priilers with engine casings off in local dealer today..... is there a problem with reliability????

Because I can.....

"THINK" it's not illegal yet.

on looks alone I recon it would have to be the MV. I think they look really GOOD.

The Rotax (Aprilia Mille) engine is as tough as nails.

Reliability problems?

Nope.

I've said this before, but:

It's NOT a Rotax engine.

It does have problems, but not hugely. When they explode (and some of them do) they are very expensive to repair due to the engine design (or lack of) and massive parts cost.

MV Brutale cos its just the most gorgeous thing... tho if you are looking secondhand it might take some time as not many have been sold...and I hear a new 1000cc version of the engine is imminent...

1000cc version supposed to be next year. Apparently Goldie has located a few at a decent price, and is prepared to share the information, provided he is paid £100

I've ridden both, and owned a Tuono.

The Brutale looks t'rrific, but it's power delivery is just too soft and fluffy low own to be enjoyable - or predictable. Then rev it higher up and like Juan says, you need to cane it, and all the time you are sitting thinking, 'come on, come on... we haven't got all day...'

Whereas the Tuono can lay darkies... while exiting a tight turn... with the front wheel off the deck.

There is no comparison in my mind. However, that TNT looks a bit cool too but buddies tell me the 03/04 Speed Triple is as good as the TNT, and however you look at it, the new, 05 Speed Triple seems pretty funky.

Tuono - twin, loads of character. Looks like a dogs dinner. One of the best bikes I have ever ridden. I would lov one. The Caponard , however , is really dull.

The MV Brutale - great looking bike. In line 4, 750 ccs. Other than the styling, its nothing special. Save the money and by a Z1000!!

I can't comment on any other peoples experiences but my choice is the KTM Superduke.

I plan on buying the demo at the end of the tax year.

£1600 off because there's no duty on demo's.

Works for me.

Tuono: Great bike to ride, looks dreadful, parts availablity and cost are a problem.

Brutale: Gorgeous and very well built. I'd prefer a 1000cc version myself. Parts and backup a major problem, since 3x are the importer and sole port of call.

Benelli TNT: Huge fun bike to ride, excellent engine. Looks mad as a bag of cats. Problematic electrics, decidedly iffy backup since Benelli just recently sacked 3x as the importer and have now decided to deal directly with dealers.

Triple: The old one was fabulous, great dealer backup, but the new one isn't out yet, so unproven.

Z1000: Looks fab, great fun to ride, well built, I bought one for Div.

Not ridden a Tuono (I'm too short) so I can't comment on that, but in my opinion the Brutale and Z1000 are chalk and cheese. The Brutale handles like its on tracks, whereas the Z1000 isn't really in that league. I liked the power delivery of the Brutale - like my old Hornet, it felt exciting to me. I like revvy bikes though
