Hi guys I haven't recieved the log book for my bike yet and it has been 3 months. I have got the new supplier bit that the seller gives you the little green slip. Can I just send that off and get the log book issued or does that need to go back with a from form post office?

You can request a log book with nothing other that the reg number, about £25 iirc, but no reg number no log book.

Just been through this myself. There is a V62 form you can get from the DVLA that you fill in and send away (see www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/RegisteringAVehicle/DG_4022310) There is no fee if you have the new keeper supplement and the seller failed to forward the V5 to Swansea, but it may take them several weeks to send you the new V5 since they need to check pretty carefully that the vehicle hasn't been reported stolen etc. etc. first....

and make a copy of the green new keeper bit before you send it.
