Anyone do lots of miles on one (i.e 60+ miles each way commute)

Are they..

Reliable,
Comfy (i.e. getting blown off the back) over distance - looks like little or no fairing - "nekd bike"

By all accounts a lot of fun..
Must try one..

Comments ?

Cheers,

ask the lively bunch at superduke.net

personally i've had mine for over a year now and i commute every day for about 20 miles ... but ... i've done 300 mile runs with friends in the weekends and the seat is prob. the comfiest made by ktm on any of their models . so much so that people who've bought the aftermarket gel seat are switching back to the OEM ...

:smoke: That's a big bike to be treating like a toy. Impressive.

as for reliable... well after getting mine last may and clocking over 15000 kms on it so far... nothing. not a f*cking bolt. my duke II on the other hand... i sometimes wonder if they make them in the same factory

some other owners have had minor & a few major issues, but most of them were under warranty

as another bloke on the forum put it, "I now have what is the best bike per mile I have ever legally ridden. Love is sometimes floored with minor problems but I will work through it as my live has become.....................enriched."

LOL - My 660SMC is a proper grenade too. I bought the sooperdook 'cos I was fed up of the 660 going pop!

But I WILL repair it soon - honest!
