KTM and CCM Bike History

Right, im at college at the moment, and doing an IT Course. But i have to find out for one of my tasks history of some companies and 2 of the companies i chose where KTM and CCM.

i have googled lycos'd everything and not found any history of any of the bike manufacturers atall

so could some 1 plz possibly help me ?

CCM - they made crap bikes. They couldn't sell them. They went out of business.

It's a mini adventure.

CCM started in the 60's or 70's I think making motocross bikes with reworked BSA engines. Somewhere along the way they either became or bought Armstrong Competition Motorcycles, producing amongst others the fantastic MT500 for the British army. Because poofy soldiers (Abel ) couldn't start the big nasty bikes the army started using the girly MT350. It was an MT500 with electric start and disc brakes made by Hardly Ableto who had bought the licence from Armstrong. CCM continued using derivatives of the armstrongs Rotax four stroke engine up until recently when they started using suzuki lumps.
