I'm just waiting for the bus to drive me (& workmates) to Milton Keynes - to go skiing

it's something I used to do LOADS when I was younger...
probably the 1 thing I've ever been really good at...

but haven't done it for about 20 years

hope it'll be like riding a bike
we only have 1 hour...
it will probably all come back to me after 55 mins

anything you used to do all the time and then stopped - first time doing it again - was it like riding a bike?

RIZ - aka nuffin to do with fag papers whatsoever

All pigs fed, watered and ready to fly???
*Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car*
*My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance* *Eat well, stay fit, die anyway* *A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand*

sorry to disappoint

just got back - it was BRILLIANT

not quite the adrenaline rush of the bike - but really good fun...

no queues on the lifts - not like that would have bothered me...
I don't have to queue
my passport says so

downside - the snow was very heavy and in some places stopped you dead...

20 years I hadn't been on skis - but all came back to me

so - conclusion of the night: freezing cold bum I went in jeans and HUGE grin on my face
Def gonna do that again

Actually the quality of skiing is similar in both places. The après ski is better in Austria but it's let down by two things.....too many Germans and too many blokes

When I was little we used to go every easter for 3 weeks to Switzerland - Montana Crans - it was great

only been to Austria once - didn't like it as much...

still better than the Harz Mountains - which was round the corner from where I used to live molehills in comparison
