I can't get over how dead this place is now

I know it's a Friday night but even so, there is still a thread on the first page of general that was last updated at 4.30 this afternoon!

A few weeks ago you struggled to keep a thread on the first page if there was no action within a couple of hours.

Till some of the basic stuff that was available before the change over are re-introduced or some very basic web design bits are fixed I fear its not going to get any better

So you think its right that some need to scroll across the screen to see the full forum messages, that really is very basic stuff and one of the reasons quite a few mentioned as the reason for departing. This is the only forum I know of that doesn't screen wrap the text area to match the users screen settings

*And at the moment I cannot be bothered fixing it yet again

It's great! So much better all the white noise has moved off.

Actually nearly ALL the noise has gone,..not just the white stuff...( some might say looking at the number of regular posters now that almost everything BUT the white noise has gone)

I think it will take a lot for this forum to recover, and even the naysayers that bemoaned everyone else leaving appear to have changed their tunes and logged in at TRC....

Once TRC switches to Vbulletin ( over this weekend) I would think that will compound the problems with this site..

I don't think anyone could deny that this site is but a shadow of what it was a couple of weeks ago...4 or 5 posts an hour as opposed to 4. or 5 new threads.

Yeah... same thing happened to MCN. The only reason I liked VD was its sheer volume. It wasn't so brand/model specific as the individual bike forums and had a great cross section of posters. Adventure Riders OK but flawed as its mainly US based. I dunno... tbh I think its well timed [for me] as I was growing tired of all the twats... something that was actually poisoning my atitude to riding in general. Not sure about TRC, as all the poofs [Tomcat, Katana, Kyot, Irie etc] make it just as bad. Never liked them so can't be arsed with it.

The general attitude over there is much more relaxed, without any feeling that the lunatics are taking over the asylum....even some of the more irritating posters from here seem to have calmed down over there..

 It has certainly slowed down my rate of posting on all the forums I visit which is  no bad thing...might actually spend more time riding
