Hood Jeans

Anyone used the Hood K7 jeans with the 500 denier Ansotex material??

looking at the website they're claiming that the Ansotex with P.U. (Polyurethane????) coating is waterproof. Any users care to comment?

I've been thinking about getting some jeans for use on the bike in summer when it's hotter. I normally use leathers (HG and damned good), but they do get bloomin hot.

I like the look of the K7's because I can stick armour in them (I'd use HG's Hiprotec rather than the Knox Traumalite - personal preference), and I NEED armour over my right knee (it's damaged already from a bike crash).

I've come off (at 80ish) in Shoshoni armoured jeans before, and came away relatively unscathed - they stood up to a LOT of abuse and so I would be relatively happy about wearing jeans on the bike again.

So - any views or advice/comments from Hood customers??

I have had 2 pairs of Shoshonis & done countless 1000s of miles in them. They're ace.

The Hood jeans are a bit better.

Look, I used my Brayne (v1.0) yesterday on the Bonneville and so am not able to access my enormous 64k of memory today, ok?

Erm, right. You're welcome to look at my jeans but I guess it'd be best to not be wearing them at the time
