Hi all, Gonna be picking up my first Busa this weekend Looking for some competitive insurance - even though I'm 46, no claims and four years bonus, only getting quotes from MCE, DevilBike and Ebike. Any others I can approach people? Thanks for your help!

do a price comparison website search, or use the MCN one.  Plus try Bennetts, Carole Nash etc.  Just look through the back of a bike mag!!

Thats a pretty good price I reckon.  I just got my RT through Bennets for 380 but that was their enhanced one with breakdown, EU cover etc.  Best quote was about 300 with motorcycle direct.  7 years no claims protect and 500 excess though.

Had a mate with a Busa once...don't worry about the insurance, your biggest expense is going to be tyres and chains. If you do 10000 miles a year and give it some occasionally factor in 5 rear tyres a year, and couple of fronts and 1 or 2 new chains. There's about £1250 right there...

I've had my 'Busa for a couple of months now. Love the bike and already done nearly 2,000 miles. Guess I shall have to keep a close eye on the tyres, chain (and mileage!).

Thanks for the advice Brodent.
