thats the revival meeting it's different to the festival of speed , went to both and tbh the revival meeting freaked me out if your into dressing up it'll be ok for you but there were some very strange people there !! some of the girls looked good though in thier pencil skirts with seamed stockings and high heels .
Festival of speed much better noisy cars and bikes (although the bike presence was not as good as lprevious years ).
Being able to get really close to some amazing machinery is great and the drivers and riders are really laid back and up for a natter.
Great day out I really enjoyed it

Get a spot with a good view of the hill-climb.

cracking day out
high ticket prices keep out the chavs and theres a real atmosphere of people who love cars and bikes.very open viewing and nothing like a motor show.you can get right up close to all the machinery, talk to the riders/drivers and engineers.everything form of motor racing is represented.proper rally stage in the grounds with all the WRC and old group B rally cars ragging it through the forest.Motogp bikes might be very thin on the ground this year as the festival is on the same weekend and the british grand prix

take the time to see the F1 cars running up the hill. All the drivers tend to scrap the times and light the tyres up and put on a show for the spectators.
great to see the old F1 cars and group B rally cars being driven in anger

some pics i took last year

shows how much access you get to the bikes and teams

Jensen showing off last year (crank the sound up:burnout: )

It's all been said...

Great access, some incredible old and new machines, if you are a petrolhead, you'll love it.

But, as has been said, there's shed loads of upper class arrogance. The busiest food stall is the champagne and oyster tent, $10 for one flute and two oysters iirc. And the queue was huge.

The thing that struck me the most was the absence of laughter. I don't think I'd go again but hey, you got free tickets, fill your boots.
