Do you feel better for that

We have filtering cyclists round here. Consider yourself lucky you don't get stuck behind one of those.

I got stuck behind a scooter once - his feet on the back pegs. Lost count of the number of times he nearly caught them on the car/lorry his was filtering past.

Nobber.

Why do they do it?

If they're shit, just overtake them and piss off. There is always a gap.

What's the problem?

on-coming traffic, road furniture... my bike can't jump so have to put up with following the numpties til they finally cop what a nuisance they're being. Most days I think happy thoughts HAPPY thoughts, but sometimes I do wish I had that after-market rocket launcher installed on the PhoaRR!!!

Ah c'mon, you live in London, home of the creative thinker's overtaking opportunity. Nobody said it had to be legal or anything.

Coming from him, I doubt that was anything to do with motorcycles.

Bikes, possibly.

Bloody BMW's with their HUGE panniers are the worse. I mean, why have a bike that's as wide as a car. Then they don't use those big mirrors they are always boasting about.

Posing kits in their leathers matching their bikes are also poor filterers. 'Oohh I might scratch it/upset my hair style'

Move the Fcuk out of my way. If you can't judge the width of your bike to the inch then you shouldn't be ont he road

I followed a CB1300 for a while today, after 3 or 4 minutes he moved over & waived me through. He then followed me for a while - it's easier to follow than it is to lead when you're filtering

I did lose him after a short while though

Sidetracking slightly....

There was no filtering on my commute today.. It was the most boring commute I have done so far.

Is it OK to enjoy filtering ?

Do you know anyone throwing out a plotter / projector.. any kit really that could be used in making large scale prints. I dont have money but would be willing to work / trade. Give us a PM if you know anything. Cheers. G

You're obviously a crap filterer.

If you were any good you'd be past em with no troubles.

Come on guys, chill out - maybe the slow filterer is a new rider or something. Im very new to riding myself, and did my first bit of filtering on Saturday - A303 was completely stationary due to a coach crash, so i filtered down the centre of the two lines at about 15mph. The only times i had to stop were when some arsehole decided that "if ive gotta sit here, why should that bike get thru" and so blocked my path. Thankfully, when they did that, they left a big gap down their right hand side, so i usually managed to whip down there and get back into the centre again afterwards I actually saw two bikes just sat in the queue - one was a 'blade, the other a big BMW with panniers - I guess he couldnt fit, but I couldnt think of any reason why the 'blade rider chose to just sit there! My speed of 15mph may have been a bit slow in your eyes, but it was the speed at which i felt comfortable passing cars/trucks etc within inches. I kept a good close eye on my mirrors though, and had any faster bikes appeared in them, i would have moved over.

yeah, faster, faster, not enough biker down threads

go on, race between the cagers drinking coffee, shaving, doing make up, they'll be expecting you when they spot that gap

we need more broken plastic on the streets, if someone cant filter flat out in top they must be a muppet
