My cordura jacket has become filthy with road grime and general crap that just won't wash off with soap and water. Any tips for cleaning this material without melting the nylon or spoiling the waterproofing?

Doesn't answer your question but weren't you murdered a couple of weeks ago by some blonde bird with a bit of a grudge?

(My Mum) washed my Bering jacket and it seems to have messed up the waterproofing a bit. I think it was on a hot wash. I reckon a cooler wash would be fine. If the water proofing does go to shit you can always use Scotch Guard. Check the inside of the jacket for intructions.

I have used Nikwax tecnix cleaner, you wash the jacket in the washine machine, remove all armour and linings, and yer bike keys ...

it cost about £6 for a bottle, you use the whole thing, then after it is washed you have to spin on a fairly hot cycle, dont worry this just seals the solution to the cordura, then it there are any other little areas that leak, use Nikwax spray for tents and clothing, but dont get it on yer hands as its impossible to wash off, its so waterproof....

THIS STUFF IS THE ONLY PRODUCT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET WORK....

it might be expensive but its great...

I don't recall that, but if I was murdered that's a bloody nuisance - I've still got some leeks to plant out. Was the blonde bird worth the aggro?
