Do you wish your missus was into bikes?

Personally I'm glad she's not. It's MY thing, and she's far too mature to behave like me so we couldn't go out on rides together. Also, if she was as much of an enthusiast as me I think I'd get sick of talking about bikes. Vive la difference!

We would have something in common then. She may even want me to talk to her and she might expect to be allowed in the garage.

AAARRRGGGHHHH

Perish the thought.

Yep, agree Human..My misses dont even know what bike i've frigging got.You need somthing for ya self otherwise it aint so much fun. When asked what ive got she replys "its a green one" lol

So THAT'S why my OM won't talk to me

My Missus has just done her CBT so things are looking a bit dodgy...

Actually I'm glad she isn't as if she was, she'd know how much it costs!

She still likes the bike though and is quite happy doing farsands of miles on our hols on it, bless 'er cotton sox.

You are joking aren't you?

Biking also gives me the personal space in our relationship. Meanwhile, my dear wife enjoys running round in a field, chasing after a ball with a stick.

been there, done that.my ex. was into bikes.but going out for a blast was a pain, she was nowhere as quick as me,i always felt i had to "look out" for her,and i always had to maintain her bloody bike!

it suits me very well on the whole that the Vifferine doesn't know one end of the bike from the other and I doubt that she has the first notion what sort I've got ("It's red ... I think!"). It's my hobby and my excuse for going out. She's had her chance - I ask her every so often, so she can't complain!

Just because I don't, that doesn't mean I can't.

My missus learnt to ride on a *full yoshi* Z1000.... none of this buggering about with pissy little 125's etc.

If I wanted to make a life-long career out of working with the mentally retarded I would have gone into Special Education or opened a Harley Davidson dealership

I got a refund on my ex under the sale of goods act.

Yep my missus is well into bikes and going on runs out (my fault) she rides a CBR600 is 5ft2(bike seat been cut out )
no probs with it and rides it well.
only real worry is she wants an R1 ...cas she can touch the floor on it and she likes the colour(red /white) and its nice and light....my arse ..she gets one of them our relationship is over!!

missus riding pillion - buggering up my power to weight ratio!! no chance!

17/05/2001 at 22:46
None of me girlfriends have ever been bikers, nor was me ex.

But most of 'em were into riding pillion and the image thing, which was just how I liked it. Especially cos none of them were into riding pillion ALL the time.

Every bloke I have met when into bikes thinks I am mental for being a "bird on a bike". I think I could only see a bloke that was a biker, just so he knows that I am unavailable on Sundays to go out with me mates, and he could go for a blast with his.

Plus they do come in useful for maintenance and bike parking

Mrs A rides (her TT600)

but she doesn't go riding with me too much 'cos I'm "too fast" so we generally only ride together when were going somewhere, which is better than taking the c@r 'cos I don't have to talk to her

Mrs JPst, is into bikes, only doesn't want to ride one, just like pillion, which is fine, but yer would be great to get her on two wheel proper like

We're both into bikes, but I wish he wasn't 'cos then I could spend more money on bigger better bikes - rather than having to shell out for two

I think my enthusiasm may have rubbed off somewhat.

We just got her some leathers which so far is cool, but I'm just waiting for "You don't take me out enough to even justify buying them".

Got to give her credit though, an old school mate of hers was bragging to her about his new R6, and she kicked off at him because he dissed ZX6's.

Good girl.

I get even more looks with her on the back too.
