If its rides you're after, go to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. Thats got PROPER rides. The Hulk and Duelling Dragons are fab rollercoasters, and the Spiderman simulator is cooool.

Disney is more 'kiddy'. But still a must see.

There used to be an English pub in Kissimee , all union jacks and stuff........the beer was warm and flat I would avoid it

The Medieval Times place was good though , stuntmen on horses jousting and stuff , like watching "A knights tale" live , with a meal , very good

We made that mistake, too.

Get yourself to Busch gardens, and give the Epcot tat a miss.

I worked for Disney World for Three years in late nineties.

Disney is great for kids (not sure you are taking or you are one yourself) The rides are fun but nothing like Six Flags (There isn't one in Florida) Busch Gardens is where you will get the best "trill" rides and you are going at a good time of the year as the kids are back to school.

Disney (Magic Kingdom has some fun rides in the Techno area and then there is thunder mountian, a great big log flum (sp)

Epcot is where you should plan to "drink around the world" there are 12 countries in back area where you can buy a drink from that country, did this many times, Saki is evil!!

MGM has some "make you sick rides" like Star Wars.

Animal Kingdom has had good and bad press, I only saw it in the build stage but seems good fun.

Others are sea World which is great and then Uiversal Studios.

If you are hiring a car, be careful in downtown Kissimee as petty theives target you.

Medival times is fun, food is a little processed but unlimited drink

Pleasure Island is Disney's party zone open until 02.00. You will be asked for ID at the entrance to prove you are over 21 (to buy alcohol) Even if you look over 30 you will be asked. I actually asked a 46 year old for ID once as she did look under 30.

Keep a formal Photo ID with you for any alcohol purchases as they are very strict.

HTH and enjoy, it is still HOT and HUMID, expect to sweat alot and it will rain between 1400 and 15.00 each day for about 30to50 minutes.......tropical enviroment.

Enjoy.
Nick

If you are not on the edge, you are taking up too much space.

Dont know how long you are there for, but dont spend all your time in Orlando etc, get down to Clearwater beach and see the beautiful white sands, nothing like seeing the real beauty of an area, and not just the "touristy" areas.

You obviously haven't seen Ian, he won't need any photo id for beer as it is painfully obvious he is old enough to drink......

Ian, hope you have a great time mate. Any jobs going at your place, they seem to pay well

Be careful , the people in that America get very funny about people being drunk in public , if they think you are too bad they will chuck you out of disney world , they will probably confiscate your 5 day pass too if there are any days left

If you do go to "the worlds" in epcott , stay late at least one night 'till closing time , the lazer and firework display is amazing
