are going to shoot him, surly you would just shoot him, so that he cannot detonate himself

It wasn't a lawful killing. How could it be? Basically the Police screwed up, innocent bloke was killed as a consequence, end of debate.

Police unlawfully killed that man.

Had I done so I would most likely be serving a very long prison sentence now.

They aren't & that stinks.

It's nothing to do with "dengrate this countrys systems and institutions" (sic) but rather a desire to see justice be done and those responsible answerable. The alternative does not bear thinking about.

Give the circumstances, suicide bomber on the loose. It was a very difficult situation where the guys had to make a split second decision.Yes, they made a mistake, something I am sure they regret.

BUT what if he was one of the bombers and they had let him detonate a bomb, they would have been criticised for not shooting him ( even though they would probably be dead).

No win situation for them.

Very true, I'm sure any of us would have done the same, given the situation and believing it was a suicide bomber, wearing a padded jacket in the summer! and at the height of the terrorist attacks....I think the amount of times he was shot in the head just shows how worried the police were. Just a case of wrong place wrong time.
