Get a bs stamped plate for the pipe off ebay, fit a pushbike battery horn and its problem solved.
Take a copy of your daylight mot with you when you go out and then sit there with a smug grin when plod does pull ya..
I use my supermoto race bike on the road quite often, its probably more 'in yer face' than yours but plod don't seem to realise what supermotos are yet(apart from gedge) so don't really bother ya.
Yours may as well have a huge sign above it saying 'free doughnuts'

As has ben said before, they can probably nick you for no lights under the RTA Construction & Use, even if you have an MoT.

Lights are not a legal requirement during daylight hours.
I have wired up a brake light, but not for legal reasons, more for personal safety when riding in a group

I dunno it made me smile

It'll certainly attract the attention of your more anal cop who knows the small print of Con & Use...

I'd recommend no number plate and an active right wrist and you'll be fine(d)

A more sensible option would be what Gixerberg said and get a daytime only MOT... you'll still need a horn though

Sorry but that's not true.

If the bike left the factory with lights, indicators, horn etc then it must still have them fitted and working to comply with Construction and Use regulations regardless of the time of day.

Unless it's goes through a daytime only MOT... but it must do so even if under it's under three years old

..and he still neds a horn

A fine mate and no more

...and more than likely they would give you a VDRS notice to get one fitted before it got to a ticket.

Don't need a plate as long as the can doesn't say 'Noy For Road Use' on it you dont need to have any markings on the can now.

Oh and Just stick one of these on.

You need it to have...

Quote
a. the make and type specified by the motorcycle manufacturer (See info column).

b. British Standard classification BSAU 193 or BSAU 193a or an EEC approval number prefixed by a small 'e' marking or an ECE approval number prefixed by a capital E.

...and not...

Quote
c. A silencer marked 'NOT FOR ROAD USE', TRACK USE ONLY' or similar words.

but if you find a "friendly" MOT tester you should be OK.

No, thats not right. The MOT has nothing to do with it. Construction and Use regs are a totally different set of rules. For example you don't need a speedo for an MOT but you do to be legal to ride on the road.

It's unlikely - there are so few Old Bill on the roads these days that you have to be really unlucky to get a tug ... :burnout:

Computer says no

My last two Husabergs come from the factory as road legal(with lights indicators etc)..both were stripped and run on the road without lights but complete with race numbers and boards.... All perfectly legal
My current Honda came from the factory as an mxer..is now a road legal supermoto with no lights and race number boards and doesn't require an mot as its not old enough
