Rode in my gardening boots today, which made gear changes 'interesting' to say the least.

I'm looking for some warm and hopefully waterproof boots, but as cheap as possible. £50 the absolute max for now...

I'll even take a piar of second hand Size 11( why are boot sizes smaller than shoe sizes....or they are for me at least ) if they're in good nick.

I know your a fair bit from Edinburgh but Carrick Yamaha are selling some Frank Thomas Gore Tex boots half price from about £60 to £75 depending on make / model. Im sure they would post out if needed.

Do you know anyone throwing out a plotter / projector.. any kit really that could be used in making large scale prints. I dont have money but would be willing to work / trade. Give us a PM if you know anything. Cheers. G

Could try phoning lots of bike shops to see what they have in the 'january sales' bargain bin?

Or you can get 'Derri boots' (bike style wellies) for less than that(?)

Or there's normally some really cheap ones in the J&S adverts in MCN...

Or just save up £115 and buy some Altbergs, the best winter boots you can get

German army paratroopers boots. Totally waterproof, buy them a size too big and wear some thick socks. From your local army surplus store, I paid £25 for mine.
