Carbon-Fibre Fabrication

Anyone any experience in this area, be it buying or making?

Any links to companies that can do one off bits? I'm looking for a company I can provide a bit of plastic, and them make a clone of it in carbon fibre.

How much is it? Obviously, depending on size; but for example, say something the size of a bikes fender. [I know you can buy them ready done - just something that size, and not very complex in shape and design.]

The need is not bike-specific.

how long is a piece of a string?

You talking UD fibre, woven fibre? Which type of matrix...Autoclave, Vacuum bagging etc.?

My intial reaction would be 'not very cheap' You need to make the tool for a complex shape like a fender (despite what you siad, it is a fairly complex form). That's a fair old chunk of money right there......
