Yep, went out today and bought myself a Gamecube, my reasons behind choosing this console are:

1. Im not a serious gamer anymore, and in my opinion going home to chill out after work on sonic or mario is great fun.

2. The gamecube is bringing out alot of exciting games. They are also bringing out bonus discs of old N64 games.

Good fun actually, and I love the controllers too. There a right laugh with firends too.

Cant wait for Mario Kart

That joke will die, the same day that people realise the PS2 is not a serious gamers console

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Or as Friedrich Nietzsche put it, "In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

I've had a GC since they were launched - great little box of tricks. And faster than the other two.

Keep meaning to get some sent over from Japan (we have an office there) but I'm a lazy bugger.

Mario Kart is one I am looking forward too though.

I have one, it's very good...but the xbox is faster and better.

Can definitely recommend both Zelda Windwaker, and Eternal Darkness - fantastic games both.

Bought Metroid Prime and Mario Sunshine at the weekend, they've both just dropped in price to only £18.

Nintendo have always been based for younger kids in my eyes, All the games are cute and fluffy. I'm sure there are some decent games for it. My Bro has 1 and I didnt go much on it, You cant play DVD's and I dont think you can copy the games (?)

They are pretty cheap tho

There sole purpose is games and games alone, they ignore all other things such as DVD so that the games they make r the best.

As for childish games, well they may have alot of games for the younger audience but what about the likes of Burnout 2 and others?

Oh and dont try to claim uve never played mario or sonic, childish they look, but superb they r!
