Well... you have prolly all been waiting for it...

It was me!!

Dropped the bugger on a roundabout.... back wheel just went away on a shit road surface... didn't hang around to look for diesel.

Bike seemed to pirouette on the foot brake lever and the hand brake lever is now U shaped!! O/S exhaust seems to have held the back end up and there is a bit of damage to a bit of the engine casing, but it looks like a bit that can be replaced pretty easily.... Demon Tweeks here I come!!!

You know, God was right... these XJRs do crash well!!!

I guess I should have another TiT number please SM!! Though it hardly seems worth it!!

I dunno. I posted earlier to all beware of damp, greasy surfaces and what happens....

These youngsters.

I had to pick up a scooter rider on the way home. I stopped at a roundabout as he came from the right.... weeeeeeeee crucnh, scrape etc etc. way too fast into the roundabout - no grip on the wet leaves etc.

No gloves - so now not a lot of skin on his hands. I bandaged them up best I could with my small first aid kit & waited for the coppers/ambulance/parents.

The scooter bounced well though - that'll be a write off...
Worse thing - I hadn't plugged the camera back in after getting petrol. Bugger!

Ho Hum...

Thought I was being careful.... 5-10 mph... the surface was really rough... every time I have driven that roundabout, I have thought that that roundabout was gonna get me one day... it has bitten me now... bit more respect or a different route until the roads people resurface it

Had my first of experience of diesel today..and it was from some idiot at a petrol station it was all over the floor right next to the pump...a big spill.
A leaky roof did not help matters....very horrible feeling tbh.
Does Diesel adhere itself to your tyres or something...after leaving my bike felt like it was on roller skates..not nice...or is it me just being paranoid?
Shit meself tbh...not a nice feeling at all.
Hope you and the bike are ok..i had a fall years ago and it bloody gave me grief for a long time...right knee is fooked now =(
Still, has not stoped me riding =)

i would think it'd impregnate the rubber of the tyre.....

i spun a Land Rover on a big diesel slick once, that was not fun

Thanks fer your support peeps...

I think I have gotten off pretty lightly... total cost so far is about £30 for a new front brake lever and a cover on the engine... just go the rear brake lever to source and that is me done... all the other damage is just minor cosmetic stuff, that you wouldn't see running for a bus...

Now for that $hitty letter to the council....
