Easiest way is to get a local school to take you on and train you as a cbt instructor.
This is usually done over the winter months as its the quietest time for schools to run the training.
Once you are a downtrained instructor, and have gained some experience, you have the option of visiting DSA headquarters at Cardington to be assessed for cbt and supervisory.
This is a two day assessment, not training so it is important you are properly prepared before you go down as the failure rate is quite high.
If you pass this, you have the option to do a half day assessment to be certified as a das instructor.
As far as costs goes, it will depend form school to school.
The school I work for don't charge for the cbt downtraining, but they may be starting to charge this year due to the amount of people dropping out halfway through the training.
Hope this gives you an idea of what is involved
If it aint broken, don't try to fix it.
