I can do Ally too.. If you need anything just gimme a shout mate.

Hardest part when i did mine was the internal pipe being welded to the end can, but being an engineer i soon got round that

Ahh the joys of having machines lol

I can do allsorts, depends what you want to do with them. If they need modding to get em to go in the right direction, it can be done, but not very well without having the bike here.

You can have my shed... For 1.2million

I've just done it  on my standard Ducati monster S4 cans, not as short as 300mm but the principles the same. Here's the results...

I made my cut right through, about 100mm in, just used a standard hacksaw it was pretty easy. Knocked the innards out a bit with a rubber mallet and cut through them close to the end caps.

There's a huge amount of baffling in these cans, heavy as well..

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb72/rod3212/s4zorsts010.jpg

Ordered some 50mm perforated tube and packing from Welcome to AA16 Road n Race Supplies, (about 45 quid total) top bloke, recommended. Rearrange these parts into a well know can...

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb72/rod3212/s4zorsts013.jpg

Put the perf tube in, I didn't secure it, it just sits over the pipe on the 'in' end and I swaged the other end a bit to sit up tight against the 'out' end. Wrapped the tube in the packing and pop-rivetted the end caps back on. Before and after..

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb72/rod3212/s4zorsts011.jpg

Quite pleased with the end result, only tools I needed were a hacksaw, mallet, file and pop-rivet gun. And a lot of elbow grease! Here's the shorty up against an original..

It's a *lot* lighter than the standard. Just gotta do the other one and I'll let you know what it sounds like.

Would an axe be quicker

I’m not allowed to have any of these as my avatar, so here they are on my sig instead. However, I now can't add any new ones

Did you ever hear anyone say “That picture had better be banned, because I might look at it and it might be very damaging to me”

Finished them tonight, they sound awesome! YouTube vid  here but the uncovered clutch masks the true sound a little bit.

Going for a blat tomorrow to see what it's done to the fuelling, hopefully the standard ECU will cope but if not it's an excuse to get a Power Commander!
