Are Ducati going to cheat again?

When they raced against 750s they had to be 1000.

Now the fours are 1 litre and Ducati didn't win the championship in 05,they want to be 1200cc.

The Japanese say they will walk if Flammini caves in,then we'll be left with a joke WSB (like 04)which should've been called the Ducati cup series.

they do have a point though..but its a sticky one...

I understand from the rules that Honda, Kawaski et al, would be equally at liberty to make a 1200 V Twin, if they so wish.

and likewise ducatti a 1000 IL4

its a joke, seriously the calculation is a crock of shit that gives them the advantage clearly!

I'd rather be a skunks pussy than ginger

I really hope so,my wife has promised me a 999s for my birthday next year. The 03 model fell by 3k when they brought out the 05, so hopefully anything new will drop the price of the 05.I want an 05 as it has all the bits on it my mille has.

Tell to what lets just give the Ducati's 2 lap head start .Why don't Ducati use a 4 cyl engine then ,they want it all their own way, it should be 1000 cc across the board with equal tuning rules for all cyl configurations and if the engine you use isn't good enough "tuff shit " develop one that is, i know its Ducati's tradition to use v twins but if they're not good enough get good enough ,thats racing .Believe it or not i love Ducati's but this 1200cc lark is a joke.

Are the Japs rubbish at making twins?

Why is there any capacity limit?

Honda won in two titles at the start of the decade with a twin.

I suppose it does have a faint hint of manipulation about it and Ducati may have a little more leverage due to the perceived enhancement to series credibility of their participation. Also, it is worth acknowledging that at least the Italians have the good grace to fix things up front by rule changing, rather than by just instructing riders to thump the fuck out of blatantly over-size fuel tanks like some of the white-goods merchants we could mention

So they could make a 1200 and win again. All's fair.

Cheating?

Bollocks!

F1 and MotoGP have similar types of rules so what's the big deal?

Kind of, MotoGP is by weight limits isn't it?

And F1 did, but now they're all 2.4 v8 (prior to a few years ago any engine designer has always been able to use the same capacity in whatever config they wanted except for naturally aspirated vs forced induction cars) except the Toro Rosso team and that was just sneaky.
