Arai Tour-X lids... yay or nay?

Has anyone got thoughts, opinions or experience regarding these helmets? I reckon they're really good looking but I've no experience with Arai's having only ever stuck my noodle in a Shoei

At the moment, £200

with the Arai it'll be twixt £280-300

I always try to spend as much as I can when new lidding, and at the mo I'm not quite as much of a pauper as I was last time

Yeup, got one. Use it on the Africa Twin. Pretty much what you'd expect, fits like any Arai, good for 85ish (unlike an Mx & goggles
which are really only good up to 60ish) and most of all the rain
doesn't sting like crazy. Apparently can revert to goggles
when you want (which suits me as I am/was planning to go
back to N Africa) and also gives the feeling of freedom & fresh air
that an Mx helmet gives on long rides through the country.

Bog all use if you dont ride an off road bike I would think. Buy
a cheaper normal helmet. POB/London may have bought one
as well.
