Arai Condor - thoughts & opinions?

I would like to replace my RX7RRIV with something a bit more quiet.
Are the Condors really as quiet as they are made out?

What are the vents like, the RX has fabby ventilation that is really controllable - as good?

This question has probably been put to you before, but ever thought of using earplugs?

I use them.
Would still like a quieter lid though.

What plugs are you using?

I use(d) the yellow Motrax jobbies with my Quant F and have no problems with unwanted noise.

I use the Orange/Red MAX1 earplugs and still find Arais to be very noisey.

Nige - have you tried a Condor on?? Arai have started doing "Shoei-Shape" lids that don't fit as well as the old Arai shape.

Get the new RX7 Corsair, quieter than my old Arai.

i know the signets quite quiet. bit dearer than a condor though.

I had a condor, and it was horribly noisy compared to my previous Shoei Raid.

The vents on it didn't seem to make much difference to anything apart from the noise, and I found those eyebrow vents to be stupidly fiddly and of no benefit whatsoever.

The other vents were easy enough to use, but made next to no difference either.

I've still got it at my folks house. I gave the visors to a mate after I replaced it with a Shoei XR1000 which, IMVHO, is superior in every way apart from the fashion-tastic Arai label.

Welcome to it if you want it to try or keep. It's plain black, and I think it's a Large, although might be XL.
