I'm looking for a sports tourer and before I do the cliched thing and get a newer VFR I fancy trying one of these. I expect I'll like it but what's the ownership proposition like in terms of: handling, reliability, fit and finish, parts availability, servicing costs etc?

It's insured as well so if you want a go and you've got 3rd party any other bike youre legal on it.

The race pipes are quite quiet compared to microns but they arent road legal ( although some little scamp has put a bs195 sticker over the non road legal markings ).

I wasan't intending to sell it for another 2 years hence the redone suspension front and rear but an sp1 came allong at a very good price £3500
so I'm selling as I can't justify 2X v twins in my bike shed.

The milage is higher than avarage BUT the price is quite low especialy concidering the extras.

I have the standard exhausts and the original rear shock plus the little belly pan fairing if you wanna put it back to standard, naturaly these are included in the price .

PM me if you want detailed photos of any part of the bike.

Carole nash insure me for £300 a year with all modifications declared and I'm 28 with a clean licence and 7 yrs ncd.

I'm in newbury in berkshire btw.

Parts for Aprilias are a bit of a lottery at the moment, due to their somewhat iffy financial status. This isn't being helped by the Italian 2 week shutdown...

I'm sure it will all be resolved in the long term though.

Servicing costs are no greater than anything else Italian really. i.e. about £100 more per service than your average Jap blandocycle.
