Advice please - i am aware that the transit is very reliable (next model up from smiley face transit) and been made aware that the LT35 is also reliable... but which one do i choose???  Fuel economy is a must but reliability is even more important!  Had a citreon relay and it was worst van ever!!!!!  Any advice would be appreciated plz? (ps., sorry to mess the thread up with a question not related to this thread!)

LT35's are more reliable than most of the new stuff on the market because the engine is simple. The reason they don't pull so well from low revs is the waste gate turbo which is more reliable then the variable vane stuff on newer vans. I can afford a Crafter but will have an LT every time because of the simple, inexpensive engineering. Plug in boxes are naff and always will be, remap is the only way to do it!

Early CDI engine sprinters are cam chain, not belt so servicing is a doddle
