I've had it pointed out that a few people thought that I wasn't taking any more places for the Winter Ball mark 2...this just isn't so! We still have some places left (about 24), so if you still do fancy coming along, please sign up on the below thread and send me a PM or an email to VDWinterBall@googlemail.com to get further details on things such as how to pay a deposit to secure your place.

FA, I'd like to come but I'm supposed to be elsewhere that day. What's the latest I can let you know?

Need to get my mess dress fixed as well, after some fun and games last time I wore it...

FFS, don't tell her you're going to turn up in uniform or she'll simply change the date to whatever suits you!!

When the places are gone they are gone. We did sell out last year, but places have moved quicker this year. No idea whether people will leave it to very last minute (as some did before)...however the prospect of promised uniforms, well...it's just very tempting to save you a place

Seriously tho, currently I am only asking for a non-refundable £15 deposit to secure your place...the remainder of the balance isn't going to be due until Autumn (so September some time). Depends whether you think the deposit is worth the risk, or if you'd rather chance it and hope we don't sell out (won't be offended either way)

oh and mmmmmmmm mess dress <drool>

FA, it's looking like I won't be able to make it, so I'll not put my name down and potentially deny someone else a place at this stage.

If I can change my diary, then all for the good and I'll drop you a PM to see if there are places still available. If there are then good, if not then no worries, there's always next year.

You can always just come over to mine for dinner at a date suitable for you and wear your mess dress

Too subtle, yes?

No probs, here's hoping things change for you!

Just so people are aware, after OB's suggestion, I have been in contact with the Manor and have arranged availability for accommodation there (self-catering) for the Friday if people want it. This comes at an additional cost of £14.95 per person. Details are in the first post of the Winter Ball thread in Days Out.

If it's self catering are we allowed to bring our own beer for the Friday night

I shall apologise now for the day after, though.
