An interesting way to get to the beach

I fly one of these, and I sure wouldn't like to land it on the sand like this chap. Looks like he didn't have much choice, but I guess he was quite lucky to walk away unharmed.

I've seen another photo on a different news service where he's nose in. Which accounts for the bent prop (and probably shock loaded engine), and the knackered nose oleo.

But yes, all things considered a good landing.

To be fair, a beach in the states is probably the safest place to land, with all the pneumatic women available for impact absorbing purposes.
