3-day meal: Inspire me

Going to cook the Daddy of all dishes tonight.

But I don't know what it'll be yet.

Any inspiration out there?

Preferably not a potato-on-the-top dish.

It's gotta last 3 days (I've got a huuuuge oven dish which I'm gonna use).

And that's about the only criteria.

TIA

Lasagne, spaghetti bolognese, a curry?

Anything without chicken in (you shouldn't really reheat cooked chicken)

And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse...Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

Cheese and spinach pie. With loads of mayo. Ooooh yummy.

Really - equal quantities of cheese and spinach, garlic, eggs, mush em all together, stick in a shortcrust pie and there you have enough food for the week.

Bean Burritos. Put enough chilis in there and it'll last you 3 years.

Sounds disgustingly like a quiche. No?

And this is?

Curry is possibility, not a big fan of ccc, risotto? Will that last 3 days without having soggy (overly so!) rice?

Big pie....I like the idea

Anyone know if Turkey is like chicken re: reheating?

Turkey also a no-no. Stick to the red meats and pork if you are going to reheat it

I'm with this one, only I'd use lean beef as it's not as fatty as lamb. Lots and lots of veg as well as herbs, worchestershire sauce, soy sauce etc, and do different things with it, pastry, potatoes, crusty bread etc. Gets better as the days go on (not too many days, obviously!!!), and is dead easy to make.

Beef Bourgignon, (excuse the spelling )

Great the second & third day as the red wine seeps into the meat & marinates it till its mouth watering!! Yum!!!

Am off for some beef!!

Pork is an unclean meat too........shud not really be reheated.....but in this day of fridges and as long as it has been cooked properly the first time round there really isn't a problem as Tomcat said.
