Hi guys,
As sad as it may seem, my ZX6R F2 is going on sale now. The bike is located in Leicestershire.
- The bike has some service history - all stamps until 24k miles which was the last major service where valves were done. Brake seals were rebuilt
- The engine was replaced at 29k miles when an unforseen hole in the air filter effectively scored the pistons making the bike burn oil. It has subsequently been replaced with an 8000 mile engine; work done by Roy at James Allan motors in Edinburgh (I also have the milage verification receipt of the engine). Valves were checked at the same time and carbs were balanced
- Steering head bearings were replaced at 30k miles
- Full swona stainless steel exhaust system with TI endcan - the old exhaust had rotted through by the collector box so I snapped this up. Engine is smooth and responsive
- Hagon rear shock fitted new at 33k miles with the front fork oil done at the same time - work done by Twiggers Motorcycles in Loughborough. Spare original shock to be included
- Plenty of life in the tyres (Dunlop Roadsmarts) which suits the bike's neutral handling well
Other features include:
- HID lights - YOU try riding any bike in winter without these and you begin to ask yourself why you didn't do it earlier.
- Double bubble screen - Makes motorway journeys a whole lot bearable
- Tutoro manual chain oiler - basically a tap which feeds a delivery tube onto the chain
- Rear hugger
- Stompgrip - added long distance comfort
- I've got a 33bhp cert for the bike and the restrictors somewhere!
Bad points
- Cosmetically it has an aftermarket full fairing kit which was done to a reasonable standard, but the tank has scratches from a tankbag - i've touched them up (will add photos later). It's in good condition for its age however.
- Swingarm is marked from using paddock stands and it was like that when i got it
Other than that, you're more than welcome to view the bike. I think it's time for somebody to enjoy the fun and learn the joys of doing gixxer thou riders around the outside! . It's in reasonable condition for its age and I can maintain that no expense has been spared on the bike. As an engineering student living in a house full of grease monkeys and amateur mechanics armed with haynes manual, I've learnt to do most servicing myself and it's an easy bike to work on.
A haynes manual will be included as will all the previous service receipts, parts and the last 2 MOTs which I have.
Viewing welcome so PM me.
Thanks for your interest
Titot
