Yamaha TZ250 GP race bike

FOR SALE: 1999 Yamaha TZ250, this bike is an investment as it's the last and best of the AVgas engined machines. The full detailed history is known and can be confirmed by Dennis Trollope of DTR, who has been involved in this bike from new.

The 250 ACU National Championship and NG Cup run by NGRRC has enjoyed strong grids throughout 2010 and this is the perfect bike to race with us. These AVgas engines are reliable are not difficult to maintain (a common myth!) plus all the knowledge and advice you will need is available at the meetings.

History:
This Yamaha 250 TZ was built by Dennis Trollope for himself to ride in the Isle of Man in 1999, on it's return it went to Derek Welch to use in the British Championship and MRO. Darrell Higgins purchased the bike in 2004 from Derek (via Dennis Trollope) and raced it mostly at Super Club. Darrell has owned the bike ever since and in 2009 provided it for Ross Wiltshire to race at a couple of rounds of the ACU National Championship. At the first meeting of the year in March he achieved a 4th and 6th place finish lapping Brands Hatch Indy circuit in 49.4

£9,500 - which is a sound investment by the looks of how the 250s are selling. Money is earning nothing in the banks and you can't race an 'Maxi ISA' can ya!! As a bit of extra info for those that are interested: the 250s have had very healthy grids for several seasons with NG Road Racing in their ACU National Championship and NG Cup. So contrary to what some people believe there's a full season of competitive racing for these bikes and it's been confirmed for next season too, plus talk of some European rounds. We had over 60 of 'em turn up to qualify for the MotoGP support race this year. The series has novices right through to riders who've qualified for Grand Prix.
