> It's starting to snow. The first of the season and the first we've

> We awoke to find a lovely blanket of crystal white glistening snow
> covering the landscape. What a fantastic sight. Every tree and bush
> covered with a beautiful mantle. I shovelled snow for the first
> time ever and loved every minute of it. I did our drive way and the
> pavement. Later a snowplough came along and accidentally covered
> our driveway with compacted snow from the street. The driver smiled
> and waved. I waved back and shovelled it away again.

> It snowed another 5 inches last night and the temperature dropped
> to around minus 12 degrees. Several branches on our trees and
> bushes snapped under the weight of the snow. I shovelled the drive
> again. Shortly afterwards the snowplough did his trick again. Most

> JANUARY 2nd
> Warmed up during the day to create lots of slush which soon turned
> to ice once the temperature dropped again. Bought snow tyres for
> both cars. Fell on my arse on the driveway. £100 to the physio but
> nothing broken. More ice and snow expected.

> Still cold. Sold the wife's car and bought her a land rover to get
> her to work. She slid into a wall and did considerable damage to
> the front wing. Had another 8 inches of the white shìt again last
> night. Both vehicles are covered in salt and iced up slush. The

> JANUARY 9th
> More fùcking snow. Not a tree or a bush on our property that hasn't
> been damaged. Electricity was off most of the night. Tried to keep
> from freezing to death with candles and a paraffin heater, which
> tipped over and nearly burned the house down. I managed to put the
> flames out but suffered 2nd degree burns on my hands. Lost all my
> eye lashes and eyebrows. Car hit a deer on the way back from the
> hospital and is a write off.

> fùcking bastard white shìt keeps coming down. Have put on all the
