I aksed on ITVs online Q & A section and this is the response I got:

Thank you for your email.

The information I have is that we (ITV) no longer have the rights to a highlights package for BSB.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Thats a pain if ITV dont show the BSB, I will have to subscribe to Sky Sports again.

ITV have the same coverage as last season, the only change is in the comms box, Nutley out, Burnicle in.

In all seriousness, pleaase let this not be a cock up, whereby we end up with no Sky and no ITV live coverage. Personally I thought that after a weak start, ITV did a good job of the coverage last year, would like to see them give it another go, guess it all depends on money/viewing figures.

LOL. I never take things the wrong way.

I asked the guy via email and that was his response. I copied direct from the email straight onto here.

If ITV are now saying something differant then it's their spokes-people that need to sort it out between them.

I really do hope that ITV show the races - I usually get roped into visiting my parents on a Sunday and they haven't got Sky Sports.

Me too. Pisses me right off coz thats all I watch on Sky sports. I'd sooner give BSB my admission fee, if I was in the country!!!:burnout:

Jacks still on Eurosport doing WSBK. Similarly James was doing both last year. Though he deffered to WSBK when they clashed.

Just to confirm folks, I too got told by ITV duty officer that they won't be showing BSB, so I emailed Dorna, here's the reply :-

"Dear Paul

Many thanks for your e-mail to Dorna. Yes! I can definitely confirm that ITV will be covering The Bennetts British Superbike Season this year.

Thank you for bringing your communication from ITV to us - much appreciated. I will be speaking to ITV later on today.

Thank you once again - enjoy the season"

I`ve looked forward a week on my Sky plus and ITV don`t appear to be showing the Brands round on ITV 1,2,3 or 4 live or otherwise. Sky sports have a 3 hour highlights show at 9.00 pm on Monday (The day of the meeting)

We apologise for the fault in the schedules. Those responsible have been sacked.

The directors of the firm hired to continue the coverage after the other people had been sacked, wish it to be known that they have just been sacked. BSB coverage has been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute.
