Sylvain is a great guy and a real loss to BSB this year. Looks like we need more bike gremlins to keep Camier running away with it and making it boring. Given the injuries Leon sustained last year, it seems right that he should have his time this year though. Swings and roundabouts of racing eh!

Very unfortunate for Sylvian and my best wishes to him for a speedy recovery....Who else is going to catch Leon ? but....

....I'm very surprised (and disappointed) by Paul Denning's response....

Does he seriously think that Josh Brookes wouldn't have avoided the collision if he could he was lucky to escape any injury.

Perhaps Paul's reaction is coloured by the fact that the 'Worx' Suzuki team only has one rider and a new sponsor to BSB....

.....until they get a stand-in....

....."calling Michael Rutter"

I find it hard to believe that it was rider error that caused that accident..! These guys are riding 200+bhp bikes holding them to the lock lap after lap. That sort of mistake would not happen two bends before the starting grid.

I'm gutted he is out, because I think he had a real chance of coming on strong later in the season and making GSE work for the championship. But good luck to Leon as BSB has gone to WSB, its great to keep the Brits winning!!

ps Someone give Shakey a competitive bike..!

If it ain't broke................you didn't let me have a go!!

I'm sure Brookes would have avoided it if he could BUT that doesn't mean that he didn't cause it ! Perhaps trying to see how a late brake overtake into the bend would go, and has just made a complete hash of it with the resultant crash, I can fully understand Denning's statement and I don't see anything wrong with it.

I simply don't understand how Brookes brakes could be functioning perfectly up until that point and then suddenly don't work at that one corner, but amazingly do work again back at the pits when they check em..

If someone can come up with a reasonable hypothesis as to what could have caused the sudden temporary failure of his brakes then I'm open to suggestions, until then " I smell shite ! "
