So Jonny is going to stand in for Moaner. This is worrying - anybody else noticed how the majority of incidents at the front of the pack in WSBK seem to involve him in any way?

I certainly hope he doesn't affect the Moto Gp championship.

From your comments, it appears you seem to think Jonathan Rea is a liability. Oh dear. He try's as hard as anyone out there, and is to be honest, class.

If HRC think he's worth a go on the 213V, then I'm fairly certain they know what they are talking about. Anyway, I'd say it'll line up with Bradl getting onto the Respol bike and Rea getting on the LCR bike.

MCN have an article where it says that Rea will replace Stoner at Misano.

I will give him credit for being a trier, but yes, I do think he is a liability. The majority of incidents at the front in WSBK involve him in some way - but for some reason according to our non biased commentators it is always somebody else's fault.

if you understood racing when you give 110% shit happens, You can hardly blame him for a bike crashing in front of him at Silverstone, checa running into the back of him in Russia, his own crash in russia was a weird one as he done nothing different than any other lap & laverty highsiding & taking him out AGAIN from behind is hardly his fault......... he has been turning up consistent podiums & race wins for 3 years when his team mates have been struggling to finish mid Teens on a bike that is simply not competitive. Will he ruffle a few feathers in moto g.p....... I hope so, for motorcycle racing needs people who ride with their heart on their sleeve & hopefully now we will see what he is capable of on competitive machinery !

Would love to see Rea in GP. But Marquez and Dani will be running the Repsol bikes next year. If they brought in Rea, that means a 3rd Repsol.... either for Rea or for Bradl. I think thats unlikely.

Would welcome Rea on a Honda... he races to RACE. Not be a baby, wanting clear track, perfect conditions. WSBK ride. GP has it easy.

Clearly an emotive subject.

Chaps, I didn't slate Jonny, simply said that he seems to be involved in a lot if incidents.

I stand by my point - I hope he does not affect the championship with his "110%" "races to race" style. It would not be fair on the moto gp boys who are playing the long game - a championshio is not won on one corner.

i actually agree with Fluke... Rea is a good rider, but has definetly cause some other good riders to crash plenty of times. And you're crazy if you think him knocking Checa off the bike at Russia wasn't his fault...but either way, what i find more interesting is how close the GP and WSBK times are.
