See, this is why I love Collin Edwards. Forget all those comments by people telling you Stoner is a no bullshit guy who tells it like it is... “My bike’s a piece of shit!” Now that’s the words of a no BS racer laying it out straight..!!!

However... “We had our ass smacked and out balls tickled”... Uuuummm... Was that a contractual obligation or just one of the perks..???

dont feel sorry for him one bit,he must have known what he was getting him self into. could have went sbk for another shot at a championship but no just riding around making up numbers for motogp to look good... lost alot of respect for colin sorry :(

Wait, so if Colin Edwards is a whiney bitch and does it in a 'no bullshit' way, he's a hero; But if Casey Stoner is a whiney bitch, and does it with some diplomacy, he's just a whinging sook? Typical.

Edwards doesn’t need or want you to fee sorry for him. Like always, what he said he said with a smile and that’s why I have a great deal of respect for him. As for Collin “just riding around making up numbers for motogp to look good”, I don’t believe that’s what he’s been trying to do at all. He could have easily taken a higher paying gig in WSBK but he chose to stay and try to make this project work. Personally I respect him for not taking the easy option of going back to WSBK and attempting to polish his ego by trying to re-win a second tier championship that he’s already won. He’s been there, he’s done that, why take a step backwards..?

ER 6F... Exactly where did I even imply that Stoner was “just whinging sook”..??? All id did was to compare the alleged no BS style of Stoner to the plainly actual BS style of Edwards.

My point was that even when Stoner dose complain (and I do believe he’s had cause to on many occasions) he does so in a way that’s decidedly politic in comparison to Edwards calling his team’s product “a piece of shit”.

However, what does seem sadly TYPICAL on motorcycle forums of late is your needless over reaction to your own under comprehension of my original post.

EASY OPTION LOL... are you real fella so you saying he would have walked it rea,Biaggi,Checa,Melandri, sykes, haslem would have said something about that.

think he did not return because he new it would have not been easy to take another title.."why take a step backwards"aint that what hes doing now ....... think bike sport mr is not a sport you know much about sorry :)

By easy option what I meant is he would easily have got a competitive ride and been a championship contender.  Do I think Collin Edward can match Rea, Biaggi, Checa, Melandri, Sykes, and Haslem on equivalent machinery..???  Yes, I do.  You’ll notice I used the word ATTEMPTING in relation him trying to win a secondWSBKtitle - not he’d easily win it or anything similar - I am, however, sure he’d easily be competitive and in that sense yes I’d call it and easy option.

Interestingly though the only one of this yearsWSBKtitle challengers I’d put money on being competitive on a motoGP bike is Melandri.

At least Edwards has been there and done that whatever he decides to do next. Compare that with the derogatory bleatings from the all armchair racers here who's greatest achievement is to pass a road bike test....or not. Those who can do.

Also Mr Phil SHK, I don’t agree with you but you’ll notice I didn’t resort to phrases like “are you real fella” or “think bike sport mr is not a sport you know much about”.

I could get into a forum pissing match about how much relative bike sport knowledge either of us has, but that’s just the kind of cheap trolling tactics that make participating on forums increasingly less than enjoyable.

Please we can disagree without disrespect.

annov7... Please, I think my above comment can also apply to your post... We can and should disagree without disrespect!

I just get really pissed off with reading "X is washed up", "Y is crap.". etc, etc., regardless of the fact that both X & Y are multiple world champions in whatever branch of the sport they competed in. Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has got one, and it would be nice just for once to be able to assume the contributors are actually adults and have opinions based on something other than school kid envy. If you can do better then prove it or shut up.

27/07/2012 at 20:41
Er. The difference between Stacey and Edwards. Is that Stacey did it every weekend and Edwards does it once ion a while. Additionally Edwards is trying to turn what clearly is a crap bike into a good bike. Stacey took a quite good bike the 03-07 Ducati and turned it into a pices of shit....the 08 bike. Then f*****d off to Hiundanda.

Yep. The CRT thing isnt really happening, and I cant see it taking over by 2014, no way.
28/07/2012 at 08:54
Oh yeah, total piece of .... no Colin, a 1980s XS400 is a pos. Your bike simply isn't competitive. So sorry to hear you're having to do some work to make it so. That's so unfair eh ?

To all of you Edwards haters out there...when he is gone who is going to save us from the hordes of robotic, no personality racers that have their PR guys hand stuck straight up their arse?

I would love to see Colin Edwards blast every one of you haters with his t-shirt cannon at point blank range. That would be some great entertainment between races.

Have great respect for colin, the only one of the old guard from wsb that has stuck with it and proven he can cut it over a number of seasons. He could have gone back to wsb but why when he can still ride a cutting edge motorcycle, he sais it like it is no pr bollucks I respect him for for being honest. A truely nice guy

As a Brit we like Colin and his comments are both funny and accurate. Having watched him at Laguna he is clearly riding a 'turd''. That said all the CRT guys are looking backwards because the bikes are just slow compared to the factory teams. Hopefully with improvements to the CRT bikes, and the ECU rules for the full teams we will have skmething like MZiZtO 2 by 2014.
