I'm taking final orders for my book 'The MAG Columns' in the next few days, in order to be able to despatch in time for Xmas. Pop along to www.motoonline.co.uk if you're interested and order online.
It's a collection of 40-plus columns I've written between 2002 and 2010 for 'Streetbiker' and 'The Road', the Motorcycle Action Group magazine. They deal with a whole bunch of riding issues; some offer advice on how to improve riding, others on how to fix common problems, some on the mental and psychological tricks we can use to learn to ride better. There are a couple of articles on riding abroad.
It's a great book to read over the winter, ready for next year's riding season or to give as a present to a biker in the family.
Ian Mutch (president of MAG and former courier) wrote about the book “As a rider of 40 years who is cautious about the safety benefits of very advanced training, I can unreservedly recommend Kevin's advice. The reason is that this advice is mostly about identifying hazards and avoiding them, and having been a London courier myself, I recognise so much sanity and honesty in his text. If you know someone who is forever getting into trouble, or starting out on bikes, you couldn't do them a better favour than buying them this book.”
Jim Sanderson, Kent Firebike Rider said ”Am already on the 'Group Thrills Not Group Spills' chapter of your book and must say it's the best bit of motorcycle manual type literature that I've read! ....a 'real world readable alternative' to Road Craft!”
Thanks for reading!
