Arai reveals 2014 RX-7 GP IOM TT helmet

New Arai lid gets a fresh lick of paint

JAPANESE helmet manufacturer Arai has revealed pictures of its 2014 Isle of Man TT helmet.

The new 'RX-7 GP IOMTT' lid is based on the race-ready RX-7 GP but has its own design by Italian designer Aldo Drudi.

The helmet features the words 'Ellan Vannin' (the Manx name for the Isle of Man), the three-legged triskelion logo, the map of the famous mountain course and the TT logo.

Arai has been the official Isle of Man TT Races helmet partner since 2007 and launched the helmet at the 2013 Motorcycle Live Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Ingmar Stroeven, MD Arai Helmets Europe said: "Our 2014 helmet is hard to describe. It really has to be seen or even better held to truly appreciate it in all its beauty. Drudi has succeeded in combining all the iconic Isle of Man details into one timelessly iconic design. The bright red accents and the matt finish offer the 2014 edition a unique look that will make it an instant collector’s item."

The helmet will be available in Arai dealers in June 2014 and will cost £750.
