With one race remaining Biaggi notched up enough points to move clear of Leon Haslam for the 2010 World Superbike championship. On the way to this overall victory the Italian notched up a total of nine wins to take the top honours this season.
The championship victory marks the Roman Emperor's first World Champion status in superbike racing but also his first overall win since taking the 250 Grand Prix crown in 1997.
