Yamaha's Rossi-engined R1 goes up against the traction control-equipped 1198 on the road and at Brands Hatch
As any superbike racer will tell you, making enough power is no longer the problem - with too much of it at their disposal, the problem now is harnessing it. To this end road bike technology has leapt ahead in 2009 to yield two of the most awesome new sportsbikes in years, the new crossplane-cranked R1 and the Ducati 1198, complete with adjustable traction control.
