Take one hard compund rear. Add rain + throttle

If you missed the World Superbikes at Assen over the weekend, then kick yourself now. Or go and find it on Eurosport, quick!

One of the highlights of race one - and let's be honest there were so many to choose from - was this amazing save from Jonathan Rea.

The only rider on a hard compound rear; when conditions started to deteriorate, Rea's 'Blade turned into a handful and at one point tried to flick him off out of the tight left-hand hairpin.

How he stayed on is a mystery!
