Watch the closing stages of the 1997 Brno 125GP, the now unforgettable fluorescent number 46 of a young Valentino Rossi darts in and out of the pack grabbing and creating passing opportunities.

It wasn't a desired result for the legend in the making, finishing third, but Rossi stamped his authority on the 1997 season winning a 11 out of the 15 races.

Is another rider's future being cast in stone, with the young Marc Marquez performing similar feats at the moment?
